We would highly recommend that you setup an automated way to save your backups to an external drive so that in the event of a computer failure or loss your data will be safe.
We would recommend that you use the following systems, which are all free at the time of writing this, to do this and once setup every time you create a backup it will automatically be synched to a remote server for safekeeping.
