We would highly recommend that you setup an automated way to save your backups to an external drive so that in the event of a computer failure or loss your data will be safe.

 

We would recommend that you use the following systems, which are all free at the time of writing this, to do this and once setup every time you create a backup it will automatically be synched to a remote server for safekeeping.

 

Please note we do not have any direct association with the services listed below.  We recommend using them, as it’s a great way to save your data but use of these services is all in accordance with their guidelines and we do not offer tech support for them.

 

  • Setup a Dropbox Account:

 

The first thing you will need is an account with Dropbox.  This works for PC and Mac so your all covered here J

  • Dropbox Folder Sync - For Windows Users:

 

Dropbox Folder Sync is a simple app for Dropbox that allows you to seamlessly sync folders outside the Dropbox folder. Sync and Unsync to Dropbox just by using the right click menu on the folder.

 

Usage:

 

  1. Run the Installer
  2. To sync‘ a folder with Dropbox, right click it and click “Sync with Dropbox“.
  3. Sync your Backup Folder as well as your Image_Repository folder to ensure that all data is saved.

  • MacDropAny - For Mac Users:

 

MacDropAny is quick and easy to use. There are three ways you can sync folders outside of Dropbox:

 

Usage:

 

  1. Launch MacDropAny and navigate to your Backup Folder inside Craft Maker Pro in your Applications folder.
  2. Drag your Backup Folder onto MacDropAny’s icon in Finder, the dock, or anywhere else.
  3. Or; in Finder, right click on your Backup Folder and select “Sync with Dropbox (via MacDropAny)”
